Briarcliff Residence Wins 2023 AIA Michigan Honor Award

AIA Michigan has recognized Briarcliff Residence with a 2023 AIA Michigan Honor Award in the Housing category. AIA Michigan's mission is to advance society through architecture, and for over thirty years, its honor awards program has promoted Michigan architects by increasing public awareness.

The jury, comprised of members of the Iowa chapter of the AIA, awarded Disbrow Iannuzzi with the award. Briarcliff, a high-performance home inspired by the classic form of rural Michigan farmsteads for family passionate about music and theater, took the prize in the Housing category.

Commenting on the project, the jury noted “Beautifully sited and detailed home that carefully integrates landscape to extend the home out into the surroundings.”
